Every November since 1999, Summerwood and Eastwick Rotary volunteers work together to prepare and package Thanksgiving meals for local families. This is something that we like to do to give back to the community and make the holiday a little less difficult for those in need. Read more about it here.
The Bike MS: City to Shore Ride is a 2-day event that supports multiple sclerosis research. In late September, cyclists of all ages and abilities ride from Center City Philadelphia to Ocean City, New Jersey. Each year, Summerwood volunteers in this event that has now grown to 7,000 cyclists. To register, visit the National MS Society.
Twice a year, working with Taco Bell Corporation, Summerwood restaurants raise money through National fundraisers benefiting youth-serving organizations including the Boys and Girls Clubs of America. These funds go back to the young people who need them most. Our restaurants strive to be top contributors through internal contests and incentives for team members, managers, and customers.
One of our Area Coaches is on the Board of Directors for the Boys & Girls Club of Sussex County, Delaware.
The Live Mas Scholarship Program empowers the next generation of innovators, creators and dreamers to pursue their unique passions through post-high school education. The Taco Bell Foundation will be awarding more than $3 million in Live Mas Scholarships to approximately 150 young people (ages 16 – 24) across the nation this year. This goes to students and employees. Scholarships range from $5,000 to $25,000.
