Introducing the John A. Nasuti Scholarship!

Summerwood Corporation is pleased to announce the designation of the John A. Nasuti Scholarship! Formerly known as the Second Chance Scholarship, this program was inspired by Taco Bell’s Live Más Scholarship, which assists students in the pursuit of their passions. 

Many Summerwood team members have been proud Live Más recipients, however, not everyone can be a winner, which is why we initially created the Second Chance opportunity. Students that didn’t receive the Live Más Scholarship would have another chance to earn money for school, sponsored by us!   

We renamed the Summerwood Second Chance Scholarship to the John A. Nasuti Scholarship in honor of the father of our founder, James Nasuti. John had a strong belief in education and ensured that his family had access to quality schooling so they could reach their greatest potential.  We’re proud to continue his legacy by offering educational opportunities that allow more people to reach their goals.

The John A. Nasuti Scholarship doesn’t analyze test scores or grades, and doesn’t require applicants to write a long essay! Employees who apply for the Live Más Scholarship are automatically eligible. Each year, we review every Summerwood applicant who applied for a Live Más Scholarship (and didn’t win) and enter these applicants into a lottery where we select our own deserving winners for the John A. Nasuti Scholarship. At Summerwood, we want all of our team members to succeed, and we’re always looking for new ways to help them do so. We’re thrilled to be able to offer this scholarship, and to continue celebrating our talented teams!
