Celebrating Father’s Day with Summerwood’s Iconic Father-Son Duo!
In honor of Father’s Day 2025, we had a Q&A session with a special father-son team we know and love here at Summerwood.
Pete T. Sr. (dad) is a Mechanical Field Supervisor and has worked with us for a remarkable 26 years. Peter T. (son) followed in his dad’s footsteps and works as a Mechanical Technician with seven years under his belt.
“To work alongside my dad is an honor and a privilege that most people don’t have the opportunity to do.” – Peter T., Mechanical Technician
Getting to Know Pete & Peter
Aside from similar career paths, both men share a strong sense of dedication and hard work. With that in mind, we had to ask—how well do these two really know each other?
Spoiler: very well!
SW: Peter, what’s your dad’s go-to Taco Bell order?
Peter: Grilled Steak Stuffed Burrito and a water bottle — leave out the fries.
Pete Sr.’s Answer: Steak Stuffed Burrito and a bottle of water.
SW: Pete Sr., what’s your son’s go-to Taco Bell order?
Pete Sr.: Peter would probably order a Quesarito, nacho fries with cheese and a bottle of water.
Peter’s Answer: Steak Quesarito, large nacho fries with cheese and a bottle of water.
“Summerwood has always made me feel like family and a part of the team.” – Peter T., Mechanical Technician
Family Dynamic
We asked Peter to describe his dad in three words or less and he chose: hardworking, inspiring and supportive. Pete Sr. describes his son as: calm, thoughtful and efficient.
Pete Sr.’s life motto is, “Say what you do and do what you say.” While son Peter’s is, “Comparison is the thief of happiness.”
Both father and son appreciate the family atmosphere here at Summerwood.
Father Knows Best
With many years of work and fatherhood on his resume, we asked Pete Sr. a few extra questions to make the most of his expertise.
SW: Anything you want Peter to know?
Pete Sr.: Peter, you’re doing a great job.
SW: What are you most proud of in your life?
Pete Sr.: Raising two children and being a stable father figure.
“It’s a good feeling working alongside my son, knowing that he knows almost as much as I do.” – Pete T. Sr., Mechanical Field Supervisor
SW: What are you most thankful for?
Pete Sr.: Taking the time and learning the most important things in life, my faith and my skills.
SW: If you could go back in time, what advice would you give your younger self?
Pete Sr.: If I could go back in time, the advice I would give myself would be, save your money.
Thank you to Pete and Peter for setting a stellar example in both work and relationships. We’re lucky to have you both as part of the Summerwood family!
