SUMMERWOOD SETS RECORDS WITH COMMUNITY GRANTS

Every year, Summerwood Taco Bell restaurants team up with the Taco Bell Foundation to give back to over 500 charitable organizations across the country. 2024 was a record-breaking year, with $28 million raised — over $1 million of which was proudly generated by us here at Summerwood.

This record investment is a testament to the power of community-driven change” –Lisa Lane Cardin, Executive Director of the Taco Bell Foundation

Uplifting Youth

The Taco Bell Foundation’s main focus is on giving back to organizations whose primary focus is on serving at-risk youth. Funds will help expand access to academic mentorship, career exploration, financial literacy and more.

The $1 million raised by Summerwood Taco Bell restaurants will be distributed to over 32 organizations — including local Boys & Girls Clubs and Junior Achievement groups.

Summerwood Stands Out

We sat down with our Chief People Officer, Kathy Mullane, to learn just how Summerwood generates such a meaningful amount of giveback money. In addition to generous contributions from team members and franchisee owners, a large portion of the funds come from everyday Taco Bell guests choosing to round up their order total to the next dollar. In fact, Summerwood raised the most amount in round-up contributions of any Taco Bell franchisee in the U.S.

“To know that you’re able to help people in your own community it’s very gratifying.”

Kathy Mullane, Chief People Officer

A huge thank you to everyone who made this unprecedented giveback possible!
