Torrie P. of Summersville Named RGM of the Year
Torrie P. is a funny, lovable, high-achieving manager leading Taco Bell 40033 in Summersville, WV. After winning Golden Bell two years in a row, we now celebrate his latest accolade as Summerwood’s 2025 RGM of the Year.
“Being in the middle of nowhere and being consistently No. 1, or the Top 5, that’s not by accident.” -Bryon T., Region Coach
We caught up with Torrie to see how he’s feeling about all of the attention.
“It’s definitely validating,” he says. “Me and my team, we strive to be the best we can.“
But this Southern guy is not willing to take all of the credit. “The biggest thing is … it’s not just me, I can’t do it by myself,” Torrie explains. “It takes a team to achieve the results we get.”
Region Coach Bryon T. brings the focus back to his colleague. According to Bryon, Torrie is a Restaurant General Manager (RGM) who always strives to do the right thing and takes good care of his people. With this approach, results are sure to follow!
“At the end of the day, it’s all about accountability and doing things with integrity,” Torrie says. Torrie understands that when you treat people well, they’re not as likely to leave.
“People love working for him.” – Kristin R., Area Coach
Torrie should know! He’s been RGM of the same location since 2017 (Summerwood acquired Summersville in 2021); before, he worked for Applebee’s for 11 years. He most recently completed our Area Coach program and hopes there’s an open position one day soon. He’s curious about his ability to assume responsibility for multiple restaurants at once. But he’s also content in the here and now!
“Even though you have the day in, the day out, there’s always something different every day,” he says. “It’s never mundane.”
Congratulations, Torrie. We’re happy to have you leading here at Summerwood!
