Team Members keep the day-to-day restaurant operations going as part of a close-knit team. They prepare food, clean, and provide customer service. No experience is required. We are flexible with hours, region-wide locations, and are always ready to reward performance with advancement. As a Shift Manager, you learn the restaurant business inside and out. You will learn how to manage the business, lead people, and motivate a team to respond to the customer effectively. Our training course is the key: it prepares you to lead people, manage systems, control costs, master technology, and thrive in our customer-oriented culture. Some restaurant or related experience is helpful but not required. This is a position with great growth potential. Many of our General Managers started in this position and worked their way up. Associate Restaurant Manager (ARM)
As an Associate Restaurant Manager, you will be the General Manager's strong right arm, sharing his or her responsibilities and preparing to one-day advance to that position at one of our 100-plus stores. Every day is a day to increase your knowledge of operations, business administration, and customer service. This position will hone your management skills and prepare you to lead an organization. You will receive leadership coaching from both the Restaurant General Manager and the Area Coach.
Restaurant General Manager (RGM)
You are the boss - heading up the day-to-day operation of a substantial business. You have responsibility for product quality, customer satisfaction, hospitality, cleanliness, hiring, and meeting our projected goals. You will also supervise and coordinate the schedules of approximately 30 employees and hold them to high performance standards. We prefer at least 2-5 years of experience as an RGM, or a reasonable equivalent. Generous salary, incentive programs, bonus potential, and special incentives that can include trips and access to our beach houses for top performers. Approximately 80% of our Area Coaches, Region Coaches and VPs of Operations have been promoted from our General Manager ranks.
As an Area Coach, you have one of the most challenging, yet rewarding, positions in all of the Quick Service Industry. At Summerwood, our Area Coaches are the Business Leaders for our company: They ensure great customer service, consistent sales gains, along with positive profit growth, and they do it through their people. They coach, train, inspire and lead their 6-10 restaurant teams. Of our current 15 Area Coaches, roughly 50% started with us as Team Members and worked through the ranks to take on key coaching roles in our organization as Area Coaches. Although challenging, this position offers the thrill of watching someone that you have trained, mentored and coached progress professionally.
Region Coaches each oversee 3-7 area coaches and approximately 30-50 stores. Our Region Coaches provide direction and mentorship for our Area Coaches, as well as ensuring that our standards of excellence are maintained across a wide geographic area.
