Summerwood Year in Review Highlights for 2022

As we come to a close on another busy year for Summerwood and its restaurant teams, here are 2022 highlights from the company blog:

Volunteering

Most recently, a group of Summerwood volunteers came together with the local Rotary Club to prepare and deliver Thanksgiving meals (grilled chicken, potatoes, biscuits!) to seniors. It’s our 27th year doing this!

Anniversaries

We celebrated the 40-year anniversary of Michelle, an RGM in New Jersey and beloved mentor who says she’s definitely going to stick around to witness company growth. 

New Restaurant Openings

Summerwood opened several new Taco Bells throughout Pennsylvania in York, Elizabethtown and Mount Joy, and one in Williamstown, NJ. We also celebrated a complete Taco Bell rebuild at our Red Lion location and would be remiss to not mention we opened a new KFC in Sicklerville, NJ. We’re so grateful to all of our patient, hardworking teams!

Team Member Spotlights & Scholarships

We shone a spotlight on several worthy restaurant leaders, including rising star Shift Lead Kayla, Area Coach Cat, and RGM and Golden Bell winner Karen, among others. We also enjoyed celebrating the educational pursuits of Summerwood’s 2022 Live Más scholarship winners. 

Recognition

Hard work and performance do not go unnoticed at our company. We recognized many incredible leaders at our State of the Union event, which was virtual this year.

Summerwood on Social

How are we doing on social media? Since we just established our presence in late 2021, we’re pleased to see our Instagram account has grown by more than 60 followers. New Jersey Restaurant Training Manager Janelle attracted the “most likes” this year as our featured subject and our post promoting Taco Tuesday prompted the most shares.
