Meet: Restaurant General Manager
Maggie

When we think of what a true leader looks like, our very own Maggie D. immediately comes to mind. The ambitious Restaurant General Manager (RGM) has over 30 years of QSR experience, and has been a Summerwood team member since 2022.

“I’m one of those people that’s constantly on the go,” Maggie says, making the fast-paced nature of the industry a great fit for her personality. The West Virginia native is always moving in her personal life, too: she’s lived and worked in a variety of places across the country.

Maggie is now nearing retirement, and naturally, reflecting on all of the companies she’s worked for over the years. One workplace really stands out: Summerwood.

“Something told me to take this job,” Maggie says, and she’s never regretted it. Upon starting, she immediately noticed how well we treat our people. Little did she know she’d be on the receiving end of this kindness very soon.

In 2024, Maggie was diagnosed with breast cancer. Thankfully, she’s now cancer-free, but she couldn’t be more grateful for how Summerwood took care of her during her treatment. “I will retire here, because I love this company,” Maggie says.
